These are personal illustrations and artwork, made for practice, fun, of simply to explore themes and ideas. Some are part of ongoing, long-term projects, in some cases spanning several years between the first sketch and the final artwork. Some works included were made for friends and clients who allowed me complete creative freedom, so they ended up being personal projects. Most of them were executed mixing traditional techniques –crosshatching, ink and quill, graphite, gouache or watercolour– with digital ones, plus the always welcome intrusions of calligraphy and lettering.
Estas son ilustraciones y obras personales, hechas por diversión, práctica o para explorar varios temas e ideas. Algunas son parte de proyectos en curso, que en ciertos casos abarcan varios años entre los primeros bocetos y los artes finales. Ciertos trabajos fueron hechos para amigos y clientes que me concedieron completa libertad creativa, así que acabaron siendo obras personales. La mayoría fueron ejecutadas con una mezcla de técnicas tradicionales –esgrafiado, tinta y plumilla, gouache y acuarela– con digitales, junto con las siempre bienvenidas intromisiones de la caligrafía y la tipografía.
